As this is the first time I attend the EASD conference, I was surprised on how big it is. There were researchers and clinicians coming from many different countries throughout the world. This was relevant because it provided me with insights into what other research groups are currently working on and recent trends on diabetes research.
Additionally, several interesting oral and poster presentations widened my knowledge on new treatment options and research methods, and the lectures provided by many of the awarded speakers were inspiring.
This conference was also a good opportunity for networking with other PhD students and researchers from Denmark, as well as from other European countries.
Finally, I received very interesting feedback during my poster presentation on "Trajectories of obesity by spausal diabetes status in the English longitudinal study of ageing" that will help me improve my work.
