With their newly appointed Head of Research Niels Jessen at the forefront, Steno Diabetes Center Aarhus (SDCA) hosted their first research seminar on 25 May 2018 with special focus on collaboration and networking within the field of diabetes resesarch - naturally Danish Diabetes Academy (DDA) was on the programme.
A NATIONAL HUB OF DIABETES RESEARCH
The around 100 attendants were eager to learn about what new opportunities for collaboration, networking and funding SDCA has to offer in the research area - among other things, information about Steno Collaborative Grants was presented.
In addition, DDA being a national hub of diabetes research, Managing Director Tore Christiansen was invited to talk about cross-sectorial collaboration, education and knowledge sharing as the cornerstones of DDAs activities.
All in all, the research seminar gave a pretty good indication of how researchers across different sectors are able to contribute to the realisation of SDCAs vision to become a respected and international acknowledged resesarch centre.
