DZD conference travel grants

One of our close collaborators, the German Center for Diabetes Research (DZD), is inviting young scientists to join the 5th DZD Diabetes Research School, which will take place in Nice, France on April 19, 2017 in combination with the International Symposium on Insulin Receptor and Insulin Action (IR2017) April 20-22, 2017. On that occasion we are allocating 5 grants to Post Docs and PhD students covering travel expenses to the conference.

WHO CAN APPLY 

PhD students and Post Docs funded by the Danish Diabetes Academy can apply for these conference travel grants. 

PREREQUISITES 

It is a prerequisite for receiving a conference travel grant that the applicant is submitting an abstract for poster or oral presentation at the conference. 

HOW TO APPLY 

The application should be forwarded by e-mail to info@danishdiabetesacademy.dk with the subject 'DZD Travel Grant' and has to include:

  • Short motivation letter incl. full name, private address and e-mail
  • Conference abstract 

Application deadline: 4 January 2017, at midnight

EVALUATION

The Academy secretariat and the Academy board will carry out the evaluation and screening of all incomming applications.

EXPENSES COVERED

The grants will cover flight ticket (coach/economy class).

REIMBURSEMENT OF TRAVEL EXPENSES 

The payout of the grant can only be made as a reimbursement of the actual costs of the travel expenses according to accounting rules under the Danish State and Region of Southern Denmark.
