On April 4, 2017, the third and final day of the innovation course ‘Put your discoveries to use in society’, offered in cooperation with INNO-X Healthcare, was held at the Danish Diabetes Association in Copenhagen.
On March 19-24, 2017, a total of 99 Post Doc fellows, third-year PhD students and prominent national and international speakers attended Danish Diabetes Academy's 3rd Winter School in Malaga with focus on different aspects of prevention and treatment of diabetes as well as career development.
During this year's Winter School in Malaga, 20-23 March 2017, all participants have been invited to take part in the Diabetes Challenge 2017, the key purpose of which is to create an interdisciplinary learning context with active and deep learning – where basic researchers and clinical researchers cooperate and as a result hopefully come up with ideas to help patients getting a better life with diabetes.
A ‘goal-oriented super student’ is how a local newspaper described Manan Pareek when he became the top student at his high school Fåborg Gymnasium, with a grade point average of 11.1. He later became a physician with a grade point average of 11.2, and this year he became one of only 20 especially talented PhD students who received a travel stipend from the Danish Elite Research Initiative established by the Danish Ministry for Higher Education and Science.
